Recruitment platforms in India, by type of hire
There is no single best recruitment platform: a factory helper and a senior engineer are found in different places. Job boards bring applicants, tracking software organises them, and agencies do the search for a fee. Most small employers need a job board first. | Networks and specialist sites | LinkedIn, Instahyre, Internshala | Office staff, tech staff, freshers | LinkedIn: one free post at a time. Internshala: one free post a month. Instahyre: “Start Hiring for Free” |

How to choose in 15 minutes
- Write down the one role, the pay and the city.
- Search for that role as a job seeker on two or three sites. Where similar jobs are plentiful, the candidates are too.
- Post free first. Count suitable applicants after three days.
- Pay only where the free post worked, or where you need more reach than it gave.
- Add a tracking tool once applications get lost in email and chat.
What eGig does not do
eGig is not an agency and does not screen candidates. It has no CV database like Resdex, and reaches far fewer people than the large boards today. If you must fill many roles in one week, it should not be your only route.
Questions people ask
What is the best recruitment platform in India?
There is no single best one, because a factory helper and a senior engineer are found in different places. Choose by role: local apps for field and factory work, Internshala for freshers, LinkedIn and Naukri for office and senior hires, and specialist sites for tech. Then add a tracking tool if you have more than a few open jobs.
What does recruitment software cost?
Zoho Recruit publishes a free plan with one active job and one recruiter licence. Its Standard plan was ₹1,250 per recruiter a month billed annually, and Enterprise ₹2,500, as read on 31 Oct 2026.
Should a small business use a recruitment agency?
Usually only for hard-to-fill roles, because agencies commonly charge a share of the first year’s pay. For most small business roles, a clear job post with the pay shown is the cheaper first try.
Where does eGig fit?
eGig is a small, new platform. It gives one free live job, makes every job show pay and lets you search profiles that show real work. It is not an agency and does not screen candidates for you.
