Free job posting sites in India: what you really get free
Job Hai, eGig, Internshala, LinkedIn and National Career Service each offer a free job post in some form, with limits. Indeed charges no flat fee to post but sells visibility. Free posts usually get fewer applicants than paid ones, so use two or three at once. Read on 30 and 31 Oct 2026, from each site’s own pages.

Get more applicants from a free post
- Show the pay. Applicants filter on it, and some will not open a job that hides it.
- Give the real location and the timings. Vague posts bring people who drop out later.
- Say what you need in three lines, and leave out the long lists of “must have”.
- Reply within a day. Good candidates apply in several places at once.
- Post in two or three places that fit the role, and ask your own staff for references.
Free help for the post itself: job description templates, hiring guides with the pay to offer and an offer letter generator.
What eGig does not do
eGig is small and new, so a free post here reaches far fewer people than the same post on the biggest sites. It is not an agency, so it does not screen or send candidates. Direct posts are reviewed before they go live unless the employer is verified, so a post can take a little time.
Questions people ask
Which sites let me post a job for free in India?
As each site publishes it: Job Hai says post a job for free; every eGig account can keep one job live at no cost; Internshala gives one job or internship post a month; LinkedIn allows one free post at a time for up to 14 days; National Career Service is free of cost; Indeed charges no flat fee to post and sells sponsored jobs by budget.
Can I post a job without registration?
Mostly not, because sites need a way to stop fake jobs and to send you applications. On eGig you can write the job first and create the account when you are ready to review and submit it.
Why do free job posts get few applicants?
Free posts usually rank below paid ones, and some sites cap how many applications you can see. Showing the pay, giving the exact location, keeping the post short and replying fast all help, and the same job can go on two or three free sites at once.
Is a free ATS the same as a free job board?
No. A tracking system such as Zoho Recruit organises applicants, but people still have to find your job somewhere. A job board brings applicants. Small teams often need the board first and the tracking system later.
