Free CRM software for small business
EspoCRM is a practical free CRM you run yourself, SuiteCRM suits bigger setups, and Twenty is the newest and simplest looking. Below about 100 customers, a shared sheet may be enough. Licences and dates read from each project’s public code page on 31 Oct 2026.

Before you switch
- “Free” here means no licence fee. You still need hosting, updates, backups and someone to fix problems.
- Customer phone numbers and emails are personal data, so keep them safe and limit who can see them.
- Start with one simple process: new lead, called, quote sent, won or lost. Most CRMs fail because nobody keeps them filled in.
Questions people ask
What is the easiest free CRM to start with?
For a very small team, a shared sheet with one row per lead is the easiest and costs nothing. Move to EspoCRM or Twenty when you need reminders, several users or a history for each customer.
Do these work on a phone?
They run in a phone’s browser, and mobile apps vary by project. Try the screen your sales staff will use before you decide.
How we check this page
eGig has no paid placements here and does not make these products. A licence shown as “mixed” means the project’s licence file puts parts of it under different terms, so read that file before you rely on it, especially for business use. Check each project’s own site before you install anything, and download only from there. How we check facts.
