Before you switch
- Export a copy of your Notion pages first, and keep it. Databases and linked pages usually need some repair after a move.
- Check how syncing works and where your notes are stored, especially for team use.
- These projects change fast, so try the current version instead of relying on older reviews.
Questions people ask
Is there a free offline alternative to Notion?
Yes. Joplin, Logseq and AppFlowy can work without an internet connection, with your notes kept on your device. Sync between devices is a separate choice in each.
Can I import from Notion?
Notion lets you export your pages, and several of these apps can read the export. Expect to fix some tables and links afterwards, and test with a small part of your workspace first.
How we check this page
eGig has no paid placements here and does not make these products. A licence shown as “mixed” means the project’s licence file puts parts of it under different terms, so read that file before you rely on it, especially for business use. Check each project’s own site before you install anything, and download only from there. How we check facts.
