These QR codes never expire, have no scan limits, and need no account. The content is written into the picture itself, so nothing is stored on eGig and nothing can be switched off later.

Before you print it

Test it first. Scan the code with two different phones, and for UPI, send yourself a small amount before you print many copies.

Keep it readable. As a rough guide, print it at least 2 × 2 cm, and bigger if it holds a lot of text or will be scanned from a distance. Leave the white border around it, and print dark on light.

A printed code cannot be changed. If the link might change, point it to a page you control, and change that page instead.

The code follows the QR standard, in byte mode. We tested the encoder at all 40 sizes and all 4 tolerance levels with an independent reader before publishing it. The code is made in your browser, so your Wi-Fi password and UPI ID are not sent anywhere. QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.

Questions people ask

Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is written into the picture itself, so there is nothing on a server to expire. A code stops working only if the link inside it stops working.
Can I make a UPI QR code?
Yes. Enter your UPI ID and name, with an amount if you want a fixed one. Test it by paying yourself a small amount before you print it. Payment apps may treat business and personal codes differently, so check your bank’s or app’s rules for business use.
Can I change the link after printing?
No, because the link is in the picture. To be able to change it, point the code to a page you control, and update that page.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The code is made in your browser. Anyone who scans the code can read the password, so print it only where you are happy to share it.
