Questions people ask
Can I start freelancing with no experience?
Yes, if you can show what you can do. Make two or three sample pieces for free, even for an imaginary client, and apply for small projects that match them. Clients care more about samples than certificates.
Can students do freelance work?
Yes. Writing, design, video editing, tutoring and data work can fit around classes. Check your college’s rules if you hold a scholarship or a student visa, and keep a record of what you earn.
How do I win my first small project?
Read the project carefully, open with what the client needs, show one relevant sample, and give a clear price and date. Short and specific beats long and generic. The free proposal template gives you a structure.
Is a project that asks me to pay first genuine?
No. Be careful with anyone who wants a deposit, a registration fee or “tasks” on Telegram before paying you. On any platform, a client pays you for work. Agree on the work and payment in writing before you start.
