Questions people ask

Can I rely on these for structural design?

No. They estimate quantities for planning and buying materials. Structural design, reinforcement and safety decisions need a qualified structural engineer and the current Indian Standard codes.

Why add extra material for wastage?

Materials get cut, spilled and broken on site, so buying the exact calculated amount usually leaves you short. Ask your contractor what allowance suits the work, and buy from one batch where colour matters.

Which units do they use?

Most accept both metric and common site units, and the unit converter covers feet, guntha, gaj, acre, brass, kg and more. Check which unit each field asks for before you read the result.
